Using Social Media for marketing?
Greetings. Thank you for stopping by. The links up top lead to more information on the apps and suggestions on what to do with them. Plus some video tutorials.
Web marketing is a growth industry now entering its adolescence. Social media marketing as it is experienced now is in its infancy. Facebook fan pages and their marketing potential are virtually untapped. This is because most of us are still learning. What works, what does not work. In my quest to build brand exposure for Build Chatter, I have seen a lot of what does not work. I am still a neophyte to eCommerce myself but even an idiot can tell that 93 people on an active 7 month old page is not working. Your coming to this site for a free trial is a step in the right direction in not becoming stuck at 93. If you want to have a successful engaged eCommerce page, you model what successful pages are doing. Reading 11 different eMarketing “guru’s” books will not teach anything to you past what the first one said. Unless you need to be told the same thing 10 more times.
Most of the really active eMarketing pages average 3k to 5k followers or likes. The successful ones are in the 25 to 35k likes range. The pages in the >100k likes range is where I am aiming. What is the one thing all those top pages have in common? Custom Facebook fan pages and some form of fan engagement tools to grow their fan bases. Not everyone can grow a fan base just because they are Coke or Disney. Everyone else has to work for it. Besides, Coke and Disney have been putting the work in for many decades. And they aren’t trying to sell anything. Now, they just are. It’s just brand maintenance.
So back to the Facebook fan page building tools. How not to use them. In my eMarketing adventures I have been hopping page to page and in those travels I have noticed one other common theme in the active but dead pages and the active and populated pages. Spam! I dont mean an outsiders spam. I am talking about 3 or 4 daily updates by the page owner. Even 1 daily update of garbage will turn off the followers you have. An update involving quality content or something of value to your fanbase daily is a lower risk. Mess up that trust and they will either block all from your page or just out right delete the connection. The whole point of working to gather a fanbase is to develop a relationship that will tolerate an intrusion into their day occasionally. You have to tell them something they actually want to hear. Show them something they actually want to share, or buy!
As I mentioned earlier, you should model what the successful working pages do. Which is proper fan engagement. This is where the Build Chatter app suite comes in. It contains all the tools you need to run an effective Facebook fan page growth campaign. I am confident enough in our product to even tell you to go try the competition before you use us. Sometimes, simplicity is power. We give you what you need in a format thats easy to use. You will never need a designer if you are not one. And never need to code if you are one. These tools are something anyone, professional or otherwise can make use of simply and easily at very low cost. You need the proper marketing tools to get the attention of your target demographic and keep them engaged enough to get out your message. And then stay for more! There are rare busy active pages that have no fan engagement tools but they are almost always art pages or music pages. Not eCommerce pages. A fine example is HiFructose magazines fan page. Really arresting images to keep your interest. Go take a look at it, that is what you aim to do but to a different demographic. You want buyers! Get their attention!
Here’s a statistic for you. The amount of advertising revenue expected by twitter in 2012 is $250 million. That’s a staggering leap from the $150 million they achieved in 2011. Facebook’s projected advertising revenue is no less amazing, $5.6 billion by 2015. That’s BILLION!
If I was anyone else but me, I would be asking myself, “How can I get 1% of 1% of that revenue? What web tools or application software suites could I use to market my products and get some of that pie?” Again, there are other Facebook tab page building apps out there that sort of do what Build Chatter can do. On an individual app basis. Most of them have half the power and customization capabilities but, a 20 to 75% greater cost. Plus the annoying branding. I have tried them. Tab page generators, static page generators, HTML feeders. All great ideas but very limiting. What happens if you want or need to do more? You have to pay a designer! And with some of those apps you will still need a designer, period. They are too limiting for what you can do with them alone. Why would you use an application that makes it that much more work to build a successful campaign platform to get yourself started on?
The applications are extremely easy to use and upload into Facebook without a coder or designer. You can edit and upload your Facebook pages anytime you need or want to and see those changes live as you make them. And there are more apps and greater feature sets coming soon!
If your an eMarketing agency, well Build Chatter is definitely for you. Imagine being able to have a fully functioning contest or sweepstakes up and running in 5 minutes for your clients. Continuously editable, totally customizable and quickly evolving. Up to five per account with the Enterprise suite.
